Lab Pump Monitoring System

In this senior design project, a team will design an equipment monitoring system to be integrated with a vacuum roughing pump at the Mass Spectrometry Facility located at Montana State University. A network of sensors are to monitor system critical parameters of temperature, current and oil level. Individual sensor data will be cataloged to a dedicated computer. This computer will include fault detection, operator alert system and a user interface to allow an operator to visually analyze the data.
