Zero Week

ROTC Orientation

This event introduces students to the Army and Air Force ROTC programs and prepares them to become cadets.  During Zero Week, PLOT members provide peer mentorship during organized sessions and activities to transition students into ROTC cadets in preparation for the academic year.

Physical Fitness

ROTC Fitness

Student fitness teams support Freshman and Sophomore students new to ROTC. Early morning workouts and building physical fitness are part of the program, but are also a time to connect with peers who share similar goals.

Academic Support

ROTC Academics

While no organized study groups exist within the ROTC Community, there are numerous resources on campus that can be accessed. As ROTC cadets are diverse in their academic studies, a match with an upper-division cadet can be made for additional support. Contact a PLOT Leader, Ms. Bruce or Ms. Turney.

Academic PLOT Parties

Academic Mentoring

Each semester the Peer Liaison Outreach Team hosts a PLOT Party to help Freshman and Sophomore students prepare for their academic advising meetings. They cover everything from how to read the catalog to planning your academic journey from Montana State University to a Commissioned Officer.

Brown Jug

Building Community

Brown Jug is an intramural athletic competition between Army ROTC and Air Force ROTC to boost morale and build camaraderie between the branches.  During the event, cadets compete in three to four different sports and the winners take home the Brown Jug!

Commissioning

Military Commissioning

Commissioning ceremonies are held at the end of each semester (fall/spring).
