Level One Requirements

  • Timer
    • Count up and down
  • Reset
    • Reset to 0 for count up
    • Set time for countdown
  • Buzzer
    • Sound buzzer when countdown reaches 0
  • Power
    • Run through a full race (timer goal is 6 hours)
    • Ron on external power and charge battery

The current design has the following features.

  • Arm processor on an STM32f0 discovery microcontroller
  • Utilizes the original remote that came with the clock
  • Features Rechargeable NiMH batteries
  • Is water resistant for use at outdoor races
  • Has a battery life of at least 6 hours
  • Costs under $500

The Operations the clock will be able to do are:

  • Count Up
  • Count Down with Buzzer
  • Set time
  • Reset
  • Stop/Pause
  • Blank Clock faces

  • Lap/Split time
  • Horn (buzzer separate from count down)
  • Time of Day
  • Hidden test mode
  • Hidden firmware version display
  • Smart phone app for control
