The system under design here must meet the following design specifications to be deemed
a successful fulfillment of the project's goals.
- Receive bits sent via a low-voltage differential interface at arriving at a clock rate of 73.636 MHz.
- Assemble the incoming LVDS stream into an image.
- Transmit the LVDS stream to a computer or data storage device.
- Compute a checksum for the image data to ensure valid image data is transmitted.
- Manage the RS232 Serial Command Channel for the Photon 320 Camera.
- Implement a radiometric calibration algorithm for the raw image data from the FLIR camera. (Time permitting).
