The system under design here must meet the following design specifications to be deemed a successful fulfillment of the project's goals.
  1. Receive bits sent via a low-voltage differential interface at arriving at a clock rate of 73.636 MHz.
  2. Assemble the incoming LVDS stream into an image.
  3. Transmit the LVDS stream to a computer or data storage device.
  4. Compute a checksum for the image data to ensure valid image data is transmitted.
  5. Manage the RS232 Serial Command Channel for the Photon 320 Camera.
  6. Implement a radiometric calibration algorithm for the raw image data from the FLIR camera. (Time permitting).
