Jennifer Brown is a PI in the Magnetic Resonance Lab
and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at Montana State University
. Her main area of research is in soft matter systems, such as complex fluids and gels, where she uses Magnetic Resonance (MR) techniques and rheological characterization to study the viscoelastic fluid response to an applied deformation. Jen often takes advantage of the opportunity her research provides to travel, from a post-doctoral position in New Zealand to a research visit in Sweden and paper presentations in Japan, Australia and Germany. Now Jen feels lucky she can teach and conduct research in beautiful Montana, where she was born and raised. When not working, Jen can be found taking advantage of her surroundings and skiing or running in the mountains, depending on the season.
