Master of Science Program

The Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at MSU has programs leading to the Master of Science degrees in Mechanical Engineeing and in Industrial & Management Engineering. Each program is autonomously administered by Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Engineering faculty. Both thesis and non-thesis programs are available in each program. The Department has a limited number of assistantships available for teaching, and the faculty of the Department often support graduate students with research assistantships. Master of Engineering Degree

The Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering participates in the Master of Engineering Degree Program.

PhD Program

The Department also participates in the College of Engineering Ph.D. Program. The doctorate program is available in seven areas: civil engineering, applied mechanics, environmental engineering, electrical and computer engineering, chemical engineering, industrial engineering and mechanical engineering.  More information regarding admission criteria and projects with financial support is available by selecting the option you are interested in:
