Alpha Pi Mu

Montana State University - Bozeman

Chapter Activities

Progress of the industrial engineering profession is closely linked to the growth and development of the Institute of Industrial Engineers; hence Alpha Pi Mu has long had close ties with and has cooperated with that organization. The societies contain a number of officers and members who are active in both groups, affording close liaison and mutual help.

Alpha Pi Mu has a student profile activity where an Industrial engineering major is randomly selected once a month to be recognized. The selected student is interviewed and answers questions ranging from "What is your calculator preference, HP or TI?" to "Why did you pick Industrial engineering?". A picture of the student and the information from the interview are displayed in the Alpha Pi Mu display case on the third floor of Roberts Hall.

Dr. Stanislao, the department's recruiter and promoter of Industrial engineering is doing a great job of visiting Montanan high school students and promoting Montana State University's Industrial engineering program.

End of Semester! More activities will be posted for fall semester 2009-2010.
