The final design will have to meet these design requirements:
- Must operate on battery power
- Must fit within or attach to the welding helmet
- Easy to use with minimal user control
- The system must support at least 8 users
- Range of hundreds of feet
- Users must be able to communicate with each other and/or the control center
- The control center must have remote access
