DESCRIPTION

The micromouse will be approximately 10cm x 10cm. The brain is a Freescale MC9S12C128 on a Dragonfly module from EVBPlus.com. The eyes are Sharp GP2D120 IR sensors, which sense distance accurately between 4 and 30cm. Making it move are two SST39D1010 stepper motors. All of this is powered by a 11.1V lithium-polymer battery pack fed through a 5.25V DC-DC converter capable of handling 8A.

FUNCTIONAL DIAGRAM

A functional diagram explaining the interaction of the main systems is shown below, with original Visio drawing and pdf available as well (updated 10/22/07):

SCHEMATIC

A schematic is available both as Visio drawing and pdf, as well as an Excel parts list with prices. Hopefully I'll get a final schematic up eventually with numbered parts corresponding to a final BOM (updated 11/28/07).

MICROCONTROLLER PORT CONNECTIONS

A list of what each port on the microcontroller is connected to, such as LEDs, switches, motor drive MOSFETs, etc (updated 12/2/07).
