Microwave and
Millimeter Wave Electronics Lab
Director: James P. Becker, Ph.D. The University Of
Michigan
Introduction Our
high-frequency electronics group is involved in the
design, fabrication and testing of novel devices and
circuits for operation at frequencies into the
submillimeter wave range. Current investigations
include the development of waveguide-based power
dividing and combining architectures. Such power
combining networks, realized through micromachining
techniques, may find application in submillimeter-wave
systems. The group is also active in the
development of radio-frequency integrated circuits (RFICs)
implemented in CMOS and has interests in novel materials
for millimeter wave applications. Our lab houses
state-of-the-art simulation and measurement capabilities
including world-class on-wafer testing capabilities.
