Lindsay Anderson
Lindsay Anderson is Director of Field Operations and Delivery for the 737 Programs. He is responsible for the activities required to prepare and test model 737 aircraft prior to delivery to our airline customers. Previously, Lindsay served as the Managing Director of Hawker de Havilland; a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, headquartered in Melbourne, Australia. HdH is an aerostructures manufacturing and design firm serving the commercial and military aerospace market. Anderson is a 1983 graduate in chemical engineering from Montana State University - Bozeman. He is a graduate of the Leaders for Manufacturing Program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he earned master’s degrees in management and materials sciences and engineering.

David Bartz is Operations Director of 737 Fuselage Structures and Systems for Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. He is responsible for all factory operations related to building and shipping 737 fuselages. He has 20 plus years of operational experience between the Wichita and Seattle plants. Mr. Bartz has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Montana State University (1985), and is currently enrolled at Wichita State University for his EMBA – completion date May 2008. Mr. Bartz has three sons and lives in the Wichita area. They enjoy school, sports, boating, and other outdoor activities.

Lindsay Anderson
Wayne Coursey is almost retired from his consulting business, PAM Teknology (PT). He received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from MSU in 1957. After graduation he accepted a job at the John Deere Dubuque Works and subsequently became the Senior Engineer responsible for lubricant selection and development. After 29 years at Deere he accepted a retirement program. He founded PT in 1986 and in 1987 became Manager of Process Development for Rock Valley Oil and Chemical in Rockford, Illinois. He spent the next 10 years developing oil recycling programs and a design for the expansion of RVOC’s research and manufacturing facilities. In 1967 he joined the Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers, served 17 years on the Board of Directors, and was elected President of the Society in 1984. He was elected a Fellow in 1989 and presented the P.M. Ku award in 1998. He was the first committee chairman to develop an examination program to certify candidates as Lubrication Specialists. It went into practice in 1994. Wayne lives with his wife Eileen and a dachshund named Klara in Dubuque, Iowa.

Her primary concerns are to ensure that our client’s projects meet the high standards that have been established at HKM and that the goals and concerns of our clients have been addressed. Karen has extensive experience in managing large and diversified organizations, including four years as Director of The Montana Department of Natural Resources. Karen is committed to the success of young people in the engineering field and has established The HKM Engineering Scholarship Fund at MSU. Karen and her husband, Russ, spend many hours endorsing philanthropic pursuits that go hand-in-hand with HKM’s Vision of “Building Community through Better Engineering.”

Klein Gilhousen
Klein Gilhousen is a co-founder and Senior Vice President for Technology of QUALCOMM, Inc. He is a named inventor of 64 U.S. patents, many of which relate to his invention of a novel approach to increase the capacity of spread-spectrum code division multiple access (CDMA) techniques for application to both cellular telephone and mobile satellite communications. Mr. Gilhousen is a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and a member of the Society for Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE). He was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Engineering by Montana State University in 2001 for his contributions to telecommunications. He and his wife Karen have founded the Gilhousen Telecommunications Chair in the College of Engineering.

Kerry Hanson
Kerry Hanson oversees the modernization and sustainment of Cape Canaveral and Vandenberg Air Force Bases. He previously spent seven years as a V.P. and Chief Technical Officer for two companies, six years with Globe Wireless, and one year with Terion. For both, he managed the development and operation of communications systems. Hanson spent 22 years with Texas Instruments, five of which were spent managing Defense Systems, a $2 billion per-year enterprise pertaining to smart weapons, avionics and electro-optic/infrared systems. He served one year as White House Office of Science and Technology Policy Fellow during the Clinton administration. Hanson has a bachelor’s of science degree from Montana State University (‘74) and a master’s of science degree (‘76) from the University of Minnesota, both in electrical engineering. Hanson has multiple patents and publications, including as a contributing author for two books.

George Keremedjiev is the founder and Director of the oldest continually operating museum in the world dedicated to the history of the Information Age, the American Computer Museum in Bozeman, Montana (www.compustory.com). He is also an international management and manufacturing technology consultant through Tecknow Education Services, Inc. (www.mfgadvice.com) His expertise spans over 25 years with the error proofing of metalforming and assembly operations through the use of digital and analog sensors for Poka-Yoke (Error-Proofing) applications.

William "Bill" Law
Bill Law received his B.S. degree and his M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Montana State University in 1973 and 1974 respectively. In 1984 he received his MBA from University of Portland. After graduation from MSU, he joined Tektronix as an electrical design engineer and has held a variety of positions in Engineering, Technical Marketing and Manufacturing during his career at Tektronix. Currently he is the systems engineer for Probes and Accessories and holds 11 patents relating to high speed electrical probing and signal acquisition. He is actively involved in college recruiting for Tektronix and represents Tektronix at MSU. Bill and his wife Patty reside in Portland, Oregon, and have three children and one grandchild.

Helene Michael is the Vice President of Manufacturing Operations for the Boeing 737 Program responsible for Wings and Final Assembly Manufacturing, Materials Management, Industrial Engineering, Tooling and Equipment Services.

Mrs. Michael has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Montana State University (1985) and attended the University of Virginia Darden Executive Program in 2001.

Helene is married to Tom Michael and they live in Buckley, Washington. They both enjoy the outdoors and playing golf as well as spending time with their three beautiful dogs.

Margaret Mitchell

Margaret Mitchell has worked for more than 19 years in the information technologies industry. She began her career developing operating systems software for Bull Information Systems. In 1994, she joined American Express. She has held a variety of positions with American Express Technologies and was part of the team that launched the first American Express website. She now leads a global team responsible for the development and health of American Express’ database systems. In 1999 she received a Master’s in International Management from the American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird). In 1988, she received her B.S. in Computer Science from MSU. In 2005, she was awarded U.S. Patent 6941376 for inventing System and Methods for Integrating Public and Private data. She has a beautiful three-year-old daughter who inspires her to enjoy life every day.


Chris Nelson

Chris Nelson, CEO and founder of Zoot Enterprises, has more than 20 years of experience in the software and financial service industries. He formed Zoot when he saw a need to improve the quality and efficiency of the credit decisioning process. Zoot lets financial institutions access multiple credit repositories’ information and easily customize reporting and scoring. Zoot employs approximately 270 people and processes on average 600,000 applications daily. Prior to founding Zoot, Nelson worked for CFI Banker Services Group, where he worked on interfaces between CFI’s Laser Pro Loan Document program and their clients’ main frame systems. Nelson left CFI to develop Zoot’s instant credit decision engine. Before joining CFI, Nelson worked for First Bank Systems as a Systems Analyst, where he automated many of
its departmental functions. Nelson has two undergraduate degrees, one in Accounting and the other in Information Systems from MSU Billings (formerly Eastern Montana College).

Ryan Parker

Ryan Parker is the Director of Marketing for Intel Corporation’s Embedded & Communications Group. Recently, Ryan has been responsible for developing and growing a multi-billion dollar business in the embedded market segment. In previous roles, he was responsible for defining next generation processor/chipset architectures, identifying key technology trends in computing, and assisted in developing future wafer fabrication facilities. Ryan has a BS in Industrial Engineering from Montana State University and an MBA from Arizona State University. He started with Intel in 1996 in engineering and has worked in all aspects of the semiconductor business including product development, manufacturing, sales, and marketing.

Technical Systems Integrators, LLC is a national service provider of technology to Fortune 100 companies like Dell, HP, MicroSoft, and Intel. Pickering began his career in the United States Navy as a nuclear electronic technician and reactor operator. He spent six years in the U.S. Navy and 14 years as a Reserve Officer in the US Army Military Intelligence as a OV-1 Mohawk pilot. Rod Ray is the President and Chief Operating Officer of Bend Research Inc., where he has worked since 1983. Michael Sanderson
Michael Sanderson is Principal and CFO of Engineering, Inc., a regional civil engineering and land surveying firm with offices in Montana and Wyoming. He is the principal-in-charge of the firm’s Bozeman, Montana office and oversees all of the firm’s transportation projects. Mr. Sanderson is President of the Intermountain Section of the Institute of Transportation Engineers, and he is a certified Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE), one of only about 1,700 worldwide. He serves on the board of directors of the Billings Area Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Sanderson and his wife Sara live in Billings with their two kids, Quinn Rose and North Henry.

Jean Sweeney
Jean Sweeney is Vice President of Environmental, Health & Safety Operations of 3M in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Born and raised in Montana, she is a graduate of Montana State University with a B.A. in Chemical Engineering and an MBA from the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis, Minn. Jean joined 3M upon graduation from MSU and has had a diversity of assignments with 3M including product development, plant management, and marketing. Prior to attaining her current title in 2007, she was General Manager of 3M’s Visual Systems Department. She has had two international assignments including Manufacturing Director for 3M Australia in Sydney and Managing Director of 3M Taiwan in Taipei. Jean is involved in nonprofit organizations as a volunteer to feed the homeless and board member of Any Baby Can serving young children in need.

Bob Testut is General Manager for Advanced Acoustic Concepts (AAC), Montana Operations. AAC is an engineering firm in the fields of advanced sonar systems, training systems and knowledge management systems. He has 30 years of direct experience in the development, prototyping, product support and program management of Navy underwater systems and associated sensors. Starting in 2003, Mr. Testut opened the AAC Montana office and established a partnership with MSU’s College of Engineering. Since then, he has led the design team on AAC’s Navy effort to bring commercial high-speed, long-range wireless technology to Navy applications. This effort consists of WiMAX commercial technology, RF design, specialized array antenna design, antenna beamforming, search algorithm development, mechanical environmental packaging and complex electronics design and integration.
