INSTRUCTORS & PROFESSORS

Faculty members in the Department of Civil Engineering are shared by the degree programs in Civil Engineering (and its Bio-Resources Engineering Option) and in Construction Engineering Technology. Many of the department's courses, especially those in the areas of surveying and construction, serve students from all three curricula.

Faculty members in the Department of Civil Engineering can be grouped into eight specialty areas: construction, environmental engineering, geotechnical engineering, engineering mechanics, structures, surveying, transportation, and water and bio-resources engineering. Few Department of Civil Engineering faculty members teach courses in just one specialty area. Faculty members in structures, for example, often teach courses in engineering mechanics.
